Adele has been playing the guitar since she was five. Her father, John Cadman, was a renowned concert performer (influenced by his Russian, Polish and Spanish ancestry his compositions explored fiery and passionate moods) with several records to his name. Her mother was also a skilled guitar teacher.
She has extensive experience of performing having been in a guitar consort which toured the UK giving early music recitals in stately homes, concert halls and churches. She was also very successful performing as a soloist and in a duet with her brother Arthur.
Adele was initially mentored by her father and taught under the John Cadman School of Classical Guitar before creating her own very successful school, the Adele Rosic School of Classical Guitar, where she has taught a wide variety of students both young and old.
Adele’s students range from six years olds through to mature adults, showing that the classical guitar is popular across the generations. She teaches from beginners to advanced levels. Beginners will learn initial skills using proven methods and will then move on through an examination syllabus which guides them to becoming capable performers. Adele’s students have enjoyed much success at the Trinity College exams, occuring three times per year, which provide concrete goals to aim for as part of a student’s progression.
Adele has a focus on encouraging performing skills as a means of providing confidence in all areas of life. As such she organises regular concerts to enable students to perform to family and friends in the local church and village hall, so as to gain experience of live performance.
She also encourages entry into competitive music festivals in Hampshire and Berkshire, enjoying much success. An example is a student who won the solo class at the Basingstoke Music Festival and was invited to perform at Basingstoke’s Lord Mayor’s charity concert.
As well as offering solo tuition, Adele also offers duet and ensemble classes which develops firm musical friendships and the listening and playing skills required to play as a group.
Adele’s greatest love is being able to pass on the special gift of creating music with the guitar to others and she takes great pride in helping her students develop into fine musicians.
For Adele, the Classical guitar is the most beautiful instrument with many voices and techniques that enable it to be very unique. As an accomplished soloist, a guitarist can be the whole orchestra in one, to play the melody line, the middle and the bass.
Guitar music spans multiple centuries and explores many different genres which makes it a very versatile and interesting instrument:
