November 2022 we had the pleasure of welcoming Rod Faulkner to hold an ensemble workshop for all Adele’s students. Rod is a family friend and has a wealth of playing and teaching experience. The morning was a very enjoyable workshop for a less experienced quartet followed by a larger more experienced group.

The afternoon was then spent listening and learning from a solo masterclass given by Rod for all levels of players. We all agreed that hearing performances and listening to the critique of others is key to improving guitar skills.

The day ended with a performance of solos, duos and ensembles putting into practice all the tips and techniques of the day. Adele and Rod then finished the performance with some duet works by various composers.

Rod plays a John Mack guitar and Adele plays a Rosić guitar.
